The We Care Ministry seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ to those in need.  We desire to create caring connections with the church, our local community and help others walk through challenging life events.  Our motto is:  Needs Known = Needs Met.

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”  1 John 3:16-18

How We Serve

The preferred method of providing assistance is to pay for the applicant’s need directly to the business provider.  Assistance may also be provided in the form of goods or services.  The type of aid that is appropriate depends on the individual’s needs and available resources.  The We Care Ministry assists people in the local area with basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, mortgage/rent payments, medical bills, transportation, and child care.

Who We Serve

Applicants are not granted financial assistance based on relationships between church members, leaders, or being a significant church contributor. The church does not discriminate between applicants based on race, color, sex, national origin, age, geographic location, or disability.  The We Care Ministry may provide short-term (or emergency) assistance to ensure the applicant has the basic necessities such as food, housing, transportation, and medical assistance (including counseling).  Our desire is to serve people who are home bound, widows & widowers, elderly, military families, single parents, etc.  If you have a specific need and don’t have the resources in your support system call us or email us at NewSong Community Church and we will see how we can assist you.

Fresh Food Initiative
